Bayside Harley-Davidson® Dyno Tuning

• What is a Dyno Tune?

  A dyno tune is making adjustments to your bike's ignition, fuel, and air supply to achieve the most possible horse power and torque while maintaining optimal air fuel ratio. To do this, we use our state of the art Dynojet 250i Dynamometers.  Your bike should be in good condition, it will be tested at maximum output.

  Running on our dyno does so much more than tell horsepower and torque. It can look into your motorcycle and see things like fuel mixture, cam timing, clutch slippage, how loose or tight your drive chain is and whether or not it needs to be replaced, how your sprockets are holding up, whether your cush drive is worn, if your fuel needle needs to be adjusted, if your bike needs a tune-up, a valve adjustment, even if your speedo or your tach are calibrated properly. 

• Have You Made Exhaust or Engine Changes to Your Bike?

  Dyno Tuning is used to maximizing all aspects of the motor to achieve desired machine power and efficiency. The air to fuel ratio may be running too high or low. (Lean/Rich) You may desire maximum power, maximum fuel efficiency or a specific compromise.  All these things can be accomplished with proper tuning. The Dyno graph will show if the motorcycle is running properly, wasting fuel, or is not up to full potential. The technician can then use the graph to adjust desired parameters.
