Dear Sir or Ma’am, Comrades 

 

This spring the VFW Riders of Virginia are hosting a Poker Run to raise money for the 201 Howard E. Vander Clute, Jr. Memorial Ride.  Howard E. Vander Clute, Jr was the VFW Commander-in-Chief 1979 to 1980, and Adjutant General 1981 to 1995.  The Ride is going to be held in in conjunction with the 119th VFW National Convention in Kansas City, MO.  July 2018 and open to all riders to support our Nation’s men and women in uniform.  All net proceeds of the ride will be donated to the VFW Veterans & Military Support Programs to benefit those in uniform and their families.  For more information go to http://www.vfw.org/Convention/.  In 2017 the Vander Clute Ride raised over $100,000 for U.S. Troops and their families through the VFWs Veterans and Military Support Programs.  All proceeds for the VFW Riders Poker Run will be given to support this year’s Vander Clute Ride. 

 

As part of our Poker run we will do Raffles, Door prizes and other surprise give-aways that have been donated.  Our Committee has been contacting local and State businesses to ask for their support.  We are soliciting any merchandise or donation(s) that your business/organization is willing to donate to this worthy cause.  The federal, state and local governments recognize the VFW Riders of Virginia as a Tax free organization. Tax ID # 54-0449022.  Any donation made by you or your Business, is 100% tax deductible.
